I figured in the name of transparency I should share my voting history before telling you how to vote. In 2016, at the age of 20 I had my first opportunity to vote in a presidential election. I mulled over the decision for many weeks and couldn’t come to a definitive conclusion. I knew I couldn't support Hillary Clinton and her disastrous foreign policy enacted when she was Secretary of State during the Obama administration. I also came to the conclusion I couldn’t support Trump. The onslaught of attacks from the mainstream media and diverging narratives on Donald Trump made it impossible for me to know who he would be as President. I ended up leaving the Presidential ticket blank that year as I couldn’t make a well informed decision.
In 2020, after much toil and an empty promise to a cute girl to vote for Biden, I nearly repeated my actions in 2016. When election day came, I sat on my balcony thinking over the key issues facing our republic. The first amendment and the potential for broad censorship of social media was on my mind. I came to the conclusion that the Democratic Party's deep ties to these sites as well as the legacy media’s well documented bias against Donald Trump meant that only they had the institutional power to be a threat to free speech. The left had already shown authoritarian leanings by bullying people into following their ideology driven by the fear of being called a racist or a nazi if you didn’t subscribe to their worldview. When election day came in 2020, I placed my vote for Donald Trump and was proven right to be fearful of censorship from the Federal Government from a Biden-Harris Administration.
Today I look at the current political climate domestically and the state of affairs across the world and I see chaos, major escalations of war, and shifts towards authoritarianism. The war in Ukraine has been going on for two and a half years with no clear path to victory. The war in Gaza has turned into a genocide and the Biden Administration will not end the killing. Inflation has come down to earth, but prices are up over 20% since 2020, and wages have not kept pace. We have an open southern border for which economic migrants, refugees, and foreign state actors enter our nation freely. The Biden-Harris administration has lost 320,000 children who came across the border without parents for which many have likely ended up being trafficked. President Ronald Reagan famously said, "A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation." America needs a major change in leadership.
Most Americans have grown poorer these last few year, yet instead of spending money on our people and infrastructure we send money to Ukraine, a conflict caused by NATO aggression, while also backing Israel as it commits a genocide with our tax dollars and weapons of war.
These poor economic conditions and unending conflicts aren’t the only problem we’re facing. There seems to be a rise of anti-democratic ideas starting to take hold in the West. Censoring opinions on the proper treatment methods for Covid and the Hunter Biden laptop story were the first string of attacks against our most sacred First Amendment.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
We have a presidential candidate in Kamala Harris who said this about Donald Trump, “He has lost his privileges” in 2019. A clear attack on the First Amendment. Our freedom of speech is not a “privilege”, it’s a right endowed upon us by our Creator. Robert Reich, the Labor Secretary during the Clinton Administration, recently said we must “reign in” Musk through advertiser boycotts and the use of the Federal Government to stop his “lies”, a clear attack on free speech. Barrack Obama gave a speech at Stanford University in 2022 appearing to want a singular governing body to combat “disinformation” across social media. The enemies of free speech are the establishment and the DNC, not Donald Trump.
Not only has the establishment and its puppets attacked free speech, but it has attacked the electoral process itself. Colorado and other states attempted to keep Trump off the ballot by accusing Trump of insurrection under section III of the 14th Amendment, yet he has never been charged for insurection because there was no revolt or attempt to take over the Federal Government. January 6 was a riot aided and abetted by the DoD not providing the National Guardsman Trump requested days before the event. His speech on January 6 called for peaceful protest as shown in the quote below.
I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.
He has been charged and found guilty of falsifying business records, a charge that’s typically a misdemeanor, however, they converted the charges to felonies by claiming he attempted to defraud the process of democracy itself in 2016. The kicker being he was never charged with election interference in the 2016 election. The 34 felony counts he was found guilty for were brought in April of 2023, six months after he announced he was running for president. To me this looks like political prosecution. The DOJ Chief of Public Affairs in NY even said it was election interference privately
All the non-DNC candidates have had ballot access issues requiring them to fight tooth and nail against DNC lawyers to get on ballots. The Democrats are obviously not the party of democracy, the hypocrisy they exude every time they attack Donald Trump as being THE THREAT to democracy infuriates me. It’s clearly a projection of their shadow onto their opponent. The DNC has become a villain to the democratic principles we hold so dear.
They made sure that no challenger could defeat Joe Biden in their show primary. RFK Jr wasn’t allowed to debate Joe Biden in an attempt to conceal his mental decline ensuring he would be one step away from four more years as president. After the debacle that was the first Presidential debate the establishment threw him to the wolves for a slightly more lucid candidate without a single vote being cast.
Bobby, in hopes of running a successful campaign switched to run as an independent after he realized the Democratic nomination was undemocratically destined for Biden. As an independent, DNC lawyers continued to fight him on ballot access in many states. Even after he decided to withdraw himself from the race and support Trump the DNC lawyers fought to keep Bobby on the ballot in an attempt to take votes away from Trump. Neocons, DNC, and Kamala Harris as a far larger threat to the democratic process than Trump.
Though this issue is rarely covered in the legacy media or in the presidential debate, the government is $35 trillion in debt. We’ll pay over $1 trillion in interest this year, that’s more than we spend on our foolish defense policies. Almost half of all income taxes collected this year only cover the interest on our debt. Every dollar congress votes on is borrowed. Social security will run out in 10 to 12 years. This credit crisis requires broad changes to the tax code, sustained economic growth, and a major reduction in government spending.
Donald Trump intends to create a Department of Government Efficiency with Elon Musk at the helm to reduce the size of government and help the economy grow by removing regulations that constrict our economy. Kamala Harris seeks to give larger handouts to first time homebuyers and increase small business tax deductions by 10x while also adding in a substantial child tax credit while the government is going broke. She will increase government spending and constrict the economy through new taxes even though we desperately need an environment suitable for strong and sustained economic growth while also implementing major cuts to spending to avoid a debt crisis.
The foreign policy since the end of the Cold War driven by the neocon vision of the world has been a complete disaster. The War on Terror alone had direct costs were $8 trillion dollars with indirect costs for things like future veteran care and interest payments on our debt also in the trillions. The neocon view of total strategic dominance across the world has added trillions to our debt, has made us less safe as our warmongering has created new enemies and muddied our moral standing in the world. Donald Trump is the political enemy of the neocons and their disastrous policies of the last 35 years. Dick Cheney the architect of the Iraq War's endorsement of Kamala Harris is evidence enough not to vote for her. I’m tired of funding a war machine that only enriches those within the beltway while thousands of Americans die and millions have been displaced.
Donald Trump was the only president since Jimmy Carter to start no new wars. JFK famously thought the primary job of the President was to keep the peace. The neocons attack Trump for talking to dictators and using diplomacy first, yet after the Cuban Missile Crisis JFK installed a direct line to the Kremlin to ensure that an accident didn’t lead to a nuclear war. The famous saying “Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." is a far better policy than the foolishness of the Biden administrations unwillingness to talk to Putin while we fight a war that could lead to nuclear armageddon. The doomsday clock is nearly at midnight and our current President likely can’t operate the nuclear football. I cannot support an establishment that has put us in this position.
The role of the executive requires keeping the peace while also leveraging the bully pulpit to enact change in America and fostering strong relationships with foreign leaders. Donald Trump has proven he not only can win over adversaries as seen with Kim Jong Un, but has conducted many off the cuff long form interviews proving his ability to communicate to the American people. When he met with Kim Jong Un he showed his courage and a strong understanding of human psychology with his willingness to walk across the 38th parallel. If you watch the video you see Kim Jong Un beaming with joy as he finally felt seen as a leader. This was unplanned and the opposite of what establishment foreign policy dogma would recommend, but Donald Trump showed he understood how to reach him on a human level.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris barely talks to the press and when she does it’s always with her close friends. She has done two long form interviews in the last two months with the first interview’s footage cut in half at the campaigns request. Her inability to communicate effectively and the appearance of a lack of understanding of basic human nature discredits her for the job alone. A public company would never hire a CEO without this skill so why would the American people hire an executive without it.
We have countless issues facing us both home and abroad. We need a strong leader who is willing to take a different approach and move past the 30+ years of establishment failures. We need to replace the current foreign policy dogma and their forever wars that left us in debt.. We must stop paying for a war in Ukraine that they cannot win without broader and escalatory NATO involvement. We stand by as Israel escalates its war in the Middle East even though we could end it by stopping the flow of weapons today. We need a negotiator in the White House that knows when to be hard-nosed with world leaders and when to sue for peace. I’ll leave you with one simple question.
Are you better off now than you were four years ago?
