Eric Lee/The New York Times</figcaption></figure></div><p>When the Gaza <a href="https://apnews.com/article/gaza-israel-palestinians-ceasefire-war-cb56a3da64e144492decfffc40c589cf">ceasefire</a> was announced before Trump&#8217;s January 2025 inauguration, I felt a budding hope that sustained peace in the Middle East wasn&#8217;t just a pipe dream. This hope abruptly started fading when Trump proposed displacing Palestinians from Gaza&#8212;a soft form of ethnic cleansing&#8212;to allow U.S. development of resorts and casinos on its waterfront.</p><p>On March 2, when Israel <a href="https://www.npr.org/2025/03/02/nx-s1-5314852/israel-stops-aid-to-gaza">halted</a> all aid to Gaza the day after the ceasefire&#8217;s first phase ended&#8212;a blockade that&#8217;s still ongoing&#8212;followed by renewed strikes on the Strip two weeks later, my hope for peace nearly vanished. The final blow came when Trump announced on <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114167864888304754">Truth Social</a> that U.S. military strikes on Yemen&#8217;s Houthis had begun in an attempt to protect U.S. and  Israeli vessels&#8212;a policy that failed under Biden in 2024 and has proven ineffective so far in Trump&#8217;s second term. Then on April 7,  during a press conference with Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump <a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-netanyahu-tariffs-gaza-war-israel-4d83902207c28277b22ef2a310be4a5c">announced</a> that the U.S. would pursue direct talks with Iran for a new nuclear deal, led by Steve Witkoff. Netanyahu voiced support but suggested a &#8220;Libyan solution&#8221;&#8212;a nonstarter for Iran, given Moammar Gadhafi&#8217;s fate after dismantling his nuclear program. Despite his stated backing, Netanyahu&#8217;s past <a href="https://www.politico.eu/article/benjamin-netanyahu-iran-regime-change-video-israel-hezbollah-war/">remarks</a> and the current neoconservative stance on Iran suggest his true intentions are a U.S.-led regime change war in Iran.</p><div class="captioned-image-container"><figure><a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/16/us/politics/trump-israel-iran-nuclear.html?searchResultPosition=4">The New York Times</a></em>, Trump&#8217;s decision to pursue nuclear talks with Iran coincided with his rejection of a planned Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites in May, which would have required U.S. military support for both offensive and defensive operations. This shift toward diplomacy followed lobbying by Vice President JD Vance, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, despite calls for strikes from Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz.</p><p>The proposed attack, which the Israelis estimated would delay Iran&#8217;s nuclear program by only a year, would risk sparking a broader war in the Middle East. U.S. intelligence assesses that Iran has no current intention of building a nuclear weapon, making the strike&#8217;s potential costs&#8212;countless lives, economic strain, and a possible oil crisis if Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz&#8212;disproportionate. Even a limited Iranian retaliation could target not only Israel but also U.S. military bases, businesses, and diplomatic sites across the region.</p><p>With Steve Witkoff leading negotiations, the talks have progressed well, with two rounds completed and technical details now under discussion. The deal is starting to resemble Obama&#8217;s 2015 JCPOA, which Trump abandoned in 2018 under pressure from neoconservatives and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. A third round is planned for April 26 in Rome.</p><p>Despite this progress, Israel and Washington&#8217;s neoconservatives continue to push for strikes and regime change in Iran. On April 18, Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and Mossad Director David Barnea met Witkoff unannounced in Paris to advocate for Iran&#8217;s full denuclearization, but they failed to sway him towards pushing for a deal Iran wouldn&#8217;t accept.</p><p><em><a href="https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/trumps-nsc-director-israel-iran-formerly-worked-ministry-defense">Drop Site News</a></em><a href="https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/trumps-nsc-director-israel-iran-formerly-worked-ministry-defense"> </a>reports that Merav Ceren, was appointed to the National Security Council (NSC) to direct foreign policy towards Israel and Iran. She previously worked for Israel&#8217;s Ministry of Defense and was a fellow at the pro-Israel <a href="https://www.fdd.org/team/merav-ceren/">Foundation forDefense of Democracies</a> (FDD). Her role raises concerns about Israel&#8217;s influence on Trump&#8217;s foreign policy, potentially pushing toward conflict with Iran. Typically, even U.S.-born citizens with foreign ties&#8212;such as one having parents from Pakistan&#8212;face scrutiny and wouldn&#8217;t be allowed to help shape foreign policy for in this case Pakistan, making Ceren&#8217;s appointment unusual. Meanwhile, Trump <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-announces-conservative-media-star-gop-governor-others-homeland-security-advisory-council">appointed</a> Mark Levin, a neoconservative advocate of military strikes on Iran regardless of negotiation outcomes, to the Homeland Security Advisory Council, signaling persistent hawkish pressure.</p><div The termination of former senior adviser Dan Caldwell, former deputy chief of staff Darin Selnick and Colin Carroll, the deputy Defense secretary&#8217;s former chief of staff while Pete Hegseth, the US secretary of defense is embroiled in another Signal scandal presents a unique opportunity to neocons. Mr. Hegseth&#8217;s former senior adviser, Mr. Caldwell, a competent and capable non-interventionist and global war on terror veteran said on a recent interview with <em><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xg9rKJGlieM&amp;t=843s">Tucker Carlson</a></em> that he believes he was fired due to his views on a potential Iranian conflict. <a href="https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/pete-hegseth-pentagon-chief-of-staff-inspector-general-leak-investigations">Drop Site News</a> uncovered that the firings were in part tied to Mr. Carroll reporting to the DoD that a journalist contacted him for a comment on an Inspector General investigation that involved someone else. With Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth distracted by a Signal messaging scandal, the DoD&#8217;s disarray risks empowering more experienced, hawkish neoconservative officials, threatening the fragile progress toward peace in the Middle East.</p><p>Trump&#8217;s foreign policy, particularly thus far in the Middle East, defies simple labels like dovish or hawkish, is best described as distinctly Trumpian. While he has resisted Israeli pressure and avoided war with Iran&#8212;most notably by rejecting a planned strike on its nuclear sites&#8212;he faces formidable opposition. Many in Washington&#8217;s establishment, who misled the U.S. into the Iraq War and other regime-change conflicts in the region, retain influence across government, mainstream media, and think tanks. The Israel lobby wields significant power in Congress, and Benjamin Netanyahu may seek a broader conflict to address his own domestic challenges. Despite diplomatic progress, the push for strikes on Iran remains strong and I certainly wouldn&#8217;t bet against the neocons. At last, there is leadership in the White House instead of a dementia patient. The fact that our intelligence agencies, as reported by <em><a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2025/03/29/world/europe/us-ukraine-military-war-wiesbaden.html">The New York Times</a></em>, believed a nuclear strike in Ukraine had coin-flip odds during Biden&#8217;s presidency is rather sobering. administration&#8212;are underway. The federal government has been <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/protecting-children-from-chemical-and-surgical-mutilation/">directed</a> to end the funding, sponsoring, promotion, assistance, or support of the chemical mutilation of children, a policy that even EU countries like Britain have already enacted into law. Women&#8217;s sports are being <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/02/keeping-men-out-of-womens-sports/">restored</a> as a safe space for women. The permanent bureaucracy in Washington, with all its excess, is finally being scrutinized. I shouldn&#8217;t fail to mention the ongoing cultural shift and the broadening of the Overton Window in the United States following Trump&#8217;s election. The era of walking on egg shells in-person and online is over. After witnessing what the security state and Biden administration had censored during the 2020 election and Covid-19, a vote for Kamala Harris and the establishment felt like a step toward the corporate censorship regime imposed in the EU by the Digital Services Act. Following Trump&#8217;s election, it seemed the US would become the last bastion of free speech and thought in the Western world. Trump had touted his love of free speech and the First Amendment at many rallies and, on his first day in office, signed an <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/restoring-freedom-of-speech-and-ending-federal-censorship/">executive order</a> titled 'Restoring Freedom of Speech and Ending Federal Censorship.' However, the recent deportations of Mahmoud Khalil, Rumeysa Ozturk, and others spit in the face of the First Amendment.</p><p>Mahmoud Khalil, a legal permanent resident and green card holder, was detained by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents at a residential building on Columbia University&#8217;s campus on Saturday, March 6, 2025. At the time he was detained, he was with his wife, who was eight months pregnant. Khalil&#8217;s wife reported that the plainclothes DHS agents initially failed to identify themselves and threatened that if she stayed with Mahmoud, she too would be detained. This action not only wasted resources the government needs to enact the mass deportation of illegal immigrants Trump promised and the MAGA base expects, but also poses a clear threat to our First Amendment rights.</p><p>Mahmoud Khalil was one of the lead negotiators for the pro-Palestine protesters at the 2024 Gaza solidarity encampment. He wasn&#8217;t charged with any crimes, and there&#8217;s no evidence he was involved in the abhorrent acts committed by some pro-Palestinian protesters at Columbia University. Yet, the Trump administration intends to deport him. The administration initially justified his detention and deportation by invoking a rarely used provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which allows the Secretary of State to deport noncitizens whose presence is deemed to have 'potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences.' Based on this provision, Mahmoud&#8217;s story, and Trump&#8217;s <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114139222625284782">Truth Social post</a> on March 10, 2025, it seems clear national who attended Tufts University, was detained by plain-clothed ICE officials on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, while on her way to meet friends for iftar, the meal that breaks the fast at sunset The F-1 student visa she had obtained to attend Tufts was revoked by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who alleged that she 'engaged in activities in support of Hamas.' You can see Secretary Rubio defend the revocation of her student visa below.</p><div id="youtube2-d_b2Wlqnq88" class="youtube-wrap" data-attrs="{&quot;videoId&quot;:&quot;d_b2Wlqnq88&quot;,&quot;startTime&quot;:null,&quot;endTime&quot;:null}" data-component-name="Youtube2ToDOM"><div class="youtube-inner"><iframe src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/d_b2Wlqnq88?rel=0&amp;autoplay=0&amp;showinfo=0&amp;enablejsapi=0" frameborder="0" loading="lazy" gesture="media" allow="autoplay; fullscreen" allowautoplay="true" allowfullscreen="true" width="728" height="409"></iframe></div></div><p>He argues that the United States wouldn&#8217;t accept visa requests from students whose reasoning on there application is, &#8220;[They] want to participate in movements involved in activities such as vandalizing universities, harassing students, taking over buildings, and creating a ruckus.&#8221; Marco states we wouldn&#8217;t let them into the country in the first place with this reasoning and therefore we can revoke visas from students who engage in these actions. However, there is no evidence that Rumeysa engaged in such activities, nor has she been accused of committing any crimes. The only reason behind her deportation anyone can find is that she was one of four authors of a <a href="https://www.tuftsdaily.com/article/2024/03/4ftk27sm6jkj">March 2024 op-ed</a> in <em>The Tufts Daily</em> arguing that the university&#8217;s response to Tufts Community Union Senate resolutions regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict was insufficient.</p><p>Many students are in the same boat as Mahmoud and Rumseya as Marco Rubio stated at a press conference in Guyana on the number of visas revoked so far, &#8220;It might be more than 300 at this point . We do it every day. Every time I find one of these lunatics, I take away their visas.&#8221; Based on the recent deportations to El Salvador&#8217;s notorious prison that occurred without due process it feels unlikely we&#8217;ll get specific allegations for each of these students.</p><p>As it stands right now we don&#8217;t have clarity on what constitutes &#8220;activities in support of Hamas.&#8221; It seems to be based on the current evidence from the detainees stories that being &#8220;in support of Hamas,&#8221; means you&#8217;ve spoke out against Israel and its actions towards the Palestinians. This argument feels like the warmonger rhetoric used in the Bush era. Back then, if you were against the invasion of Iraq you were <em>Pro-Saddam.</em> These actions clearly are a broad attack on free speech in service of protecting Israel and its destruction of Gaza.</p><p>I should note Trump&#8217;s platform did say he would deport Pro-Hamas radicals, but I misinterpreted this to mean only a few people who committed the more outrageous actions of harassment, assault, and vandalism conducted at the Pro-Palestinian protest would be deported. Instead, it seems anyone with non-citizenship status is at risk of being deported for speaking out against Israel. How is deporting legal permanent residents and foreign students with student visas for speaking out against Israel <strong>America First?</strong> Had these individuals spoken out against a different ally of ours or the US would they be headed towards deportation? I am doubtful they would be. Given the Supreme Court has ruled that the bill of rights and therefore free speech applies to citizens, legal residents, and people with student visas these actions are rather troublesome. </p><p>I keep thinking if the shoe was on the other foot in this situation, the right and all of MAGA would react rather differently. Say Jordan Peterson or Gad Saad, two Canadian intellectuals, that were critical of the Biden administration were deported by the past  administration. The right would be up in arms over it. It would be the news story on &#120143; for a week and Elon would be quote tweeting all the usual suspects in protest of these actions. Yet only a proportion of <strong>America First</strong> supporters have spoken out against these deportations.</p><p>The actions taken by the Trump administration feel like a new version of cancel culture that has been taken to a new extreme. Instead of a twitter mob cancelling you, you&#8217;re being cancelled and removed by the US Federal Government. You&#8217;re being picked up off the street by plain-clothed ICE and DHS agents, basically being kidnapped. These actions along with Trump&#8217;s executive order 14188, titled &#8220;Additional Measures to Combat Anti-Semitism,&#8221; which pushes the idea that anti-semitism under the civil rights act should be based off of the <a href="https://holocaustremembrance.com/resources/working-definition-antisemitism">IHRA definition of anti-semitism</a>, a definition that includes certain criticisms of Israel is the most kowtowing thing the US has done for Israel since the Iraq war. It also seems likely these action will only increase anti-semitism across the States. Stoking the fire of those who believe Israel holds too much influence over US politics through AIPAC and billionaire donors like Miriam Adelson. These deportations go against the values Trump ran on and are only going to push many who identify with MAGA to question our allyship with Israel. The term was canonized by Donald Trump&#8217;s presidential run and victory in 2016, but the ideas and supporters of the movement began growing before he entered the political scene.</p><p>This movement started on December 8, 1993, when Bill Clinton signed NAFTA into law, but it gained momentum when China entered the WTO in 2001. These free trade policies led to the US losing a quarter of all manufacturing jobs, from 16.8 million jobs to 12.6 million jobs during the Clinton and Bush Administrations. To add insult to injury, the last few years of the Clinton Administration led to the deregulation of the financial industry with the passage of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and Commodity Futures Modernization Act, which ultimately lit the fuse for the crisis that exploded in 2008. When the house of cards built on the greed of these financial institutions came tumbling down, the Bush Administration's solution was to pass the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act, which purchased the risky bets the banks had made on mortgage-backed securities to bail them out, while 10 million Americans ended up displaced and foreclosed upon because of the collapse.</p><p>While the middle and working class was hollowed out over this timeframe, the DoD, the Bush Administration, and much of the press misled us into the Iraq War under false pretenses, leading to the deaths of 4,400 Americans, with many of the soldiers coming from areas hardest hit by our trade policies. This foolish war, for which we still have 2,500 troops deployed in Iraq, has added trillions of dollars to our national debt and led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. It also left many of our bravest grappling with the emotional pain of seeing their brothers-in-arms lose their lives and limbs for a war that, in hindsight, was pointless.</p><p>These policy failures, while globalization took hold and wealth inequality rose, led to the rise of two smaller political movements: The Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street. These movements helped highlight all those Americans who felt left behind by the globalized economy. These distinct movements shared many of the same ideas as MAGA: a future for America that dealt with rising inequality, a smaller federal government with a balanced budget, anti-neocon isolationist policies, and the return of a robust and more technologically advanced manufacturing base. Others believe it's the rise of fascism and the creation of a Fourth Reich. This rhetoric is meant to scare the college-educated electorate from ever considering the movement on a deeper level. This fearmongering doesn't stand up to criticism when we take these major policy missteps and the subsequent economic fallout into account."</p><p>When one takes a deeper look at how educational attainment has impacted life in America, we see that it's not just a story of people being left behind financially&#8212;though those with a bachelor's degree make $2.8M compared to $1.6M for those with only a high school diploma. These are the folks impacted by unfettered illegal immigration across the US Southern Border, as these migrants put pressure on their wages. The Rachel Maddows and Joe Scarboroughs of the world don&#8217;t lose their jobs to illegal immigrants; those with only a high school diploma do. These immigrants also consume benefits that should go to those left behind by the globalized economy, costing US taxpayers $150 billion per year instead of supporting Americans. The same Democrats who used to stand for the middle and working classes of America are now the party of the educated elite. In 2020, those who made up 70% of GDP voted for Joe Biden, while only 30% voted for Donald Trump. This is what MAGA and America First are all about: helping those left behind by our current economic system and the political capture of our government by elites.</p><p>The MAGA movement and <a href="https://www.donaldjtrump.com/platform">Donald Trump&#8217;s platform</a> can be summarized in one sentence. Make the US economy and the Federal Government work for all Americans, not just those who own shares in Raytheon or work for NGOs that get large government checks. It's about shoring up our security at home by closing the border, not only to protect the working class's wages but also to ensure our enemies don't use that open door to bring in combatants. The threat of enemy combatants using the Southern Border to enter the country has become a real concern. We're currently climbing the escalation ladder towards nuclear armageddon in Ukraine. How anyone could support a war that would push us in that direction is beyond comprehension. Peace through strength, as Reagan put it, is the path Trump was on in his first term. He was the only President since Jimmy Carter not to start a new war, and I expect he will pursue the path of peace again. The ongoing foreign wars and the war on terror have brought no prosperity to the American people at large; instead, they have driven the immigration crises in Europe and America and ballooned our National Debt.</p><p>The weaponization of government we&#8217;ve seen conducted by the FBI and CISA pre bunking the <a href="https://x.com/Jim_Jordan/status/1851665005395005794">Hunter Biden laptop controversy</a>, the retaliation against whistleblowers in the <a href="https://x.com/C__Herridge/status/1851251838693081288">IRS</a> and <a href="https://x.com/Weaponization/status/1838956327084699695">FBI</a>, and the FBI literally showing up at a <a href="https://x.com/jeremykauffman/status/1835782658091102608">citizen&#8217;s residence</a> because of their speech must end. Kamala and the rest of the democrats continue to say Trump will be the one to weaponize the government and censor speech, but they are the ones who have taken action against the American people.</p><p>That's the key conflict behind all of this. The Democrats present a message of fear over the things Trump has said about the 'enemy within,' or they compare his rally in MSG to a Nazi rally. Trump and his team, however, highlight not what the Democrats and establishment say, but rather what the many presidential administrations of the last three decades have done to, or failed to do for, A former FBI intelligence professional and the founder of Blackwater have been issuing alerts about possible civil unrest and terrorist attacks in the United States. This move to undermine our constitutional republic is based on shaky legal ground, as Donald Trump has never been criminally charged with insurrection and, in fact, requested National Guard troops on January 6 to ensure safety during the events. The previous version of the directive written in 2016 only allowed for intelligence gathering from the DoD personnel when working with law enforcement. The timing of the change is rather disconcerting given Jamie&#8217;s comments and the election only weeks away. This change in directive seems to me as an effective way to start the process of implementing martial law if there is major civil unrest after the election. The open border situation has allegedly heightened the presence of IRGC surrogates and combatants within the U.S., facilitated by Venezuela granting them citizenship and aiding their migration to the U.S.</p><p>I disagree with this thesis. While I'm not an intelligence analyst or national security expert, I believe that Iran would gain nothing from such an attack on American soil, and I subscribe to the school of realism and therefore would expect Iran to act in their best interest. Activating these terror cells in the U.S. would lead to an open war that would likely spell the end for the current Iranian regime. The Iranian President, speaking at the UN meeting in New York in September, stated, &#8220;We don&#8217;t want war. ... We want to live in peace.&#8221; They did, however, launch a retaliatory strike against Israel following this statement, in response to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh and attacks on Hezbollah leadership via pager and walkie-talkie bombs and airstrikes in Lebanon. Yet, after this attack, the President reaffirmed his commitment to peace, saying, &#8220;Iran aspires to peace and stability in the Middle East because no country can progress when there is war.&#8221; Iran's preference seems to be for peace, and inciting terror cells in the U.S. in retaliation for an expected Israeli strike would lead to a war that only Israel wants. Again I&#8217;m no expert, so this is something that </p><p>Beyond the threats emanating from Washington, D.C., and the Middle East, we must not overlook the fact that we are involved in a proxy war with Russia, a nation possessing the world's largest stockpile of apocalyptic nuclear weapons. Ukraine and certain NATO members have advocated for escalation by striking deep into Russian territory, even though Vladimir Putin has warned that such actions might precipitate a global thermonuclear war.</p><div class="native-video-embed" data-component-name="VideoPlaceholder" data-attrs="{&quot;mediaUploadId&quot;:&quot;09a2179c-14c2-4e4a-8712-edbcc1ad1261&quot;,&quot;duration&quot;:null}"></div><p>Marcus Allen, an <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pscQIY_LHOY">FBI Whistleblower</a> who raised concerns about the FBI Director&#8217;s testimony on the January 6 Capitol Riot and ended up losing his security clearance as an act of retaliation by the FBI, as his last act of public service raised a warning I think all Americans should take seriously. This God-fearing, true patriot, was an intel professional for many years at the FBI and he believes that the Bureau will not rein in its conduct of using reprisal and fear to control individual agents and leveraging over classification to hide their ethically questionable actions.</p><p>He then gave a serious and sincere call to action that I posted below.</p><ol><li><p>Vote in November to stake our claim in the democratic process</p></li><li><p>Arm yourself and know how to defend yourself</p></li><li><p>Make three to four friends in your neighborhood and promise to come to each others aid in times of hardship</p></li><li><p>Stock up on three to four months of food and water as they did in the Great Depression</p></li></ol><p>I'm not trying to sound alarmist, but his warning is one we should take seriously. While I disagree with Jamie Raskin's prediction of full-blown civil war, I believe we're heading towards a level of civil unrest unseen since the late 1960s. To refresh our history, during our involvement in the seemingly endless conflict in Vietnam's jungles and rice paddies, the home front was equally tumultuous. Within one twelve-month period, there were roughly 150 violent riots and approximately 170 bombings or bombing attempts. This era brought the United States closer to revolution than at any time since the Civil War, a scenario which could ominously mirror our very near future. I suggest you take heed of Marcus&#8217;s advice and go a bit further to what I call prepper-lite. Prepper-lite requires one to also have a generator, some way to purify water, well stocked med kits with extra medication, and a satellite phone. Those who are running for the highest office and some retired from public life are calling for broader censorship of social media to &#8216;build consensus.&#8217; Some have even called the First Amendment an impediment to govern, though they mean it&#8217;s the final boss in their quest to rule. Our natural right to speak and think freely, which is a requirement in becoming an individual, is continually being chipped away at before our eyes. They&#8217;ve worked to take our natural rights, the beautiful block of marble endowed upon all of us by our Creator and continually struck a chisel to it in an attempt to create a <strong>Statue of Control</strong> the likes of Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong would smile upon. </p><p>This coordinated effort against free speech, led by self-appointed ministers of truth and &#8216;misinformation experts&#8217; has partnered with social media sites to remove accounts and deamplify posts at the behest of the federal government. We are lucky that this axis of information control has even been discovered. Thanks to Elon Musk purchasing Twitter and allowing investigative journalists Matt Taibbi of <a href="https://www.racket.news">Racket News</a> and Michael Shellenberger of <a href="https://www.public.news/?utm_source=substack&amp;utm_medium=web&amp;utm_campaign=substack_profile">Public</a> among others to look at the communications that occurred across Twitter is the only reason we know of these attacks on our rights.</p><p>The journalists behind <a href="https://twitterfiles.substack.com/?utm_source=substack&amp;utm_medium=web&amp;utm_campaign=profile_page">the Twitter Files</a> discovered many requests to censor opinions on COVID-19 and those who spoke out against the government. A key revelation of the Twitter Files revealed that the FBI met with social media companies in the summer of 2020 to make them aware that any stories tied to the Biden family and Burisma would likely be Russian disinformation. This warning helped lead to the true Hunter Biden laptop story&#8217;s broad demotion across social media just weeks before the 2020 election. This whole event was corroborated by Mark Zuckerberg&#8217;s recent letter to <a href="https://x.com/JudiciaryGOP">the Weaponization of Government</a> subcommittee.</p><p>The current Democratic Presidential nominee in Kamala Harris seems to support this Censorship-Industrial complex or misunderstand the First Amendment. In 2019, Kamala Harris <a href="https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/1829651058269806658">attacked Donald Trump</a> stating &#8220;He has lost his privileges&#8221; and called for a coordinated effort to implement &#8220;oversight and regulations&#8221; for social media platforms. Madam Vice President the First Amendment is a natural right of all people, not a privilege. </p><p>Her call was eventually answered when a coordinated effort emerged after the January 6 riot to remove Donald Trump, a sitting US President, from social media in fear he might incite more violence. Recently <a href="https://cha.house.gov/2024/9/transcripts-show-president-trump-s-directives-to-pentagon-leadership-to-keep-january-6-safe-were-deliberately-ignored">released transcripts</a> reveal that Donald Trump requested 10,000 troops for that day to ensure the event was safe. His troop request wasn&#8217;t met due to the DoD&#8217;s concern of the &#8216;optics of the National Guard standing in a line with the Capitol in the background.&#8217; Of course after the event the National Guard locked down the Capitol for many months with fencing and a large troop presence.</p><p>One would think that after censorship impacted a Presidential Election and undermined the office of the President, it would stop. However, the constant chiseling of our First Amendment has continued and recently gotten new artists. They may no longer be in office or running for office, but these card-carrying members of the Establishment appear to have resorted to sledgehammers to finish the job. </p><div id="youtube2-KJL0-bajf6c" class="youtube-wrap" data-attrs="{&quot;videoId&quot;:&quot;KJL0-bajf6c&quot;,&quot;startTime&quot;:null,&quot;endTime&quot;:null}" data-component-name="Youtube2ToDOM"><div class="youtube-inner"><iframe src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/KJL0-bajf6c?rel=0&amp;autoplay=0&amp;showinfo=0&amp;enablejsapi=0" frameborder="0" loading="lazy" gesture="media" allow="autoplay; fullscreen" allowautoplay="true" allowfullscreen="true" width="728" height="409"></iframe></div></div><p>At a World Economic Forum presentation, John Kerry, the Secretary of State that proceeded Hillary Clinton, recently said, &#8220;Our First Amendment stands as a major block to be able to just, you know, hammer it [disinformation] out of existence.&#8221; He claimed that social media sites where Americans live out their right to speak their minds are an impediment on &#8216;building consensus,&#8217; a major problem for democracies. This man who ran against George W Bush in 2004 who was a fellow attendee at Yale and member of the Skull and Bones secret society then lamented that there is an absence of a much needed &#8216;truth arbiter.&#8217; </p><p>Hillary Clinton, who has suddenly become the establishment flag bearer for the war on &#8216;disinformation&#8217; has said some disconcerting while attacking social media sites and free speech. In a <a href="https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/watch/clinton-take-trump-at-his-word-and-be-outraged-by-what-he-represents-219498565926">recent interview</a> with Rachel Maddow, while she spent the majority of it bashing Donald Trump, she also called out his supporters &#8216;Engaged in this [Trump&#8217;s] kind of propaganda&#8217; should have the deterrent of being &#8216;civilly or criminal charged&#8217; to limit their speech. </p><p>In <a href="https://x.com/CollinRugg/status/1842644736215011466">another recent interview</a>, she attacked the platforms themselves calling for the removal of section 230, the only protection given to online platforms from being liable of the content users posts, citing child porn and threats of violence as her reasoning. I find this mind boggling as all social media platforms today already effectively remove these illegal posts.</p><p>In her call for platforms to monitor and moderate more aggressively, she raised the absolutely chilling concern that if the platforms don&#8217;t conduct this censorship &#8220;<strong>We lose total control</strong>.&#8221; Who is she talking about when she says we? Is she admitting that there is a &#8216;deep state&#8217; or a ruling class of elites? Though one cannot be certain who this &#8216;We&#8217; is, I see it as a clear call to action for freedom loving Americans to continue to exercise and defend our right to speak our minds and hold our beliefs. It&#8217;s become obvious that our democratic republic is at a crossroads in the battle for free speech and free expression. As I saw the difficulty and suffering the victims were facing I begged my dad to drive us down there to help. I dreamed of cutting up fallen trees with a chain saw and piloting a boat in the floodwaters to find people trapped on their roofs. I never got to live out that dream and couldn&#8217;t understand why my dad wouldn&#8217;t take me down there. It felt illogical to me. People were in need and even at that young age I felt a sense of duty to help my fellow Americans.</p>

It was a last-minute trip to visit my aunt, an alumna of USC Law School. I hadn&#8217;t seen my aunt and uncle in about a year, and I knew a day at the beach and an afternoon cheering on the Badgers would provide some much-needed rest after an eventful summer. This was a sentimental event for me, as my decision to attend Wisconsin was influenced by my experience at the Nebraska-Wisconsin game that welcomed the Huskers into the Big Ten. </p><p>Despite a surprisingly good first half for the Badgers, they fell apart in the second half and lost. Post-game, I headed to LAX to catch a redeye to DC for the 'Rescue the Republic' rally. I landed in DC before sunrise and checked into a hotel off the National Mall, hoping for an early check-in and some much-needed rest. </p><p>On that overcast day, after a three-hour nap, I walked down the National Mall toward the Washington Monument. As I reached the crest of the hill where the monument stands, I set my eyes on the rally just as 'The Star-Spangled Banner' began to play. I removed my hat, overcome by a profound love for our country and its people. </p><p>This was my first rally, and its significance cannot be overstated. The event's founder, and my favorite academic in exile, Bret Weinstein, described it as much more than just a rally; he likened it to Woodstock in the realm of political gatherings. The lineup, listed below, included many of my favorite politicians, journalists, comedians, authors, and intellectuals. It was chock-full of proponents of the Bill of Rights, personal freedom, the use of debate in the battle of ideas, and fierce opponents of government-sponsored censorship.</p>

In 2016, at the age of 20 I had my first opportunity to vote in a presidential election. I mulled over the decision for many weeks and couldn&#8217;t come to a definitive conclusion. I knew I couldn't support Hillary Clinton and her disastrous foreign policy enacted when she was Secretary of State during the Obama administration. I also came to the conclusion I couldn&#8217;t support Trump. The onslaught of attacks from the mainstream media and diverging narratives on Donald Trump made it impossible for me to know who he would be as President. I ended up leaving the Presidential ticket blank that year as I couldn&#8217;t make a well informed decision.</p><p>In 2020, after much toil and an empty promise to a cute girl to vote for Biden, I nearly repeated my actions in 2016. When election day came, I sat on my balcony thinking over the key issues facing our republic. The first amendment and the potential for broad censorship of social media was on my mind. I came to the conclusion that the Democratic Party's deep ties to these sites as well as the legacy media&#8217;s well documented bias against Donald Trump meant that only they had the institutional power to be a threat to free speech. The left had already shown authoritarian leanings by bullying people into following their ideology driven by the fear of being called a racist or a nazi if you didn&#8217;t subscribe to their worldview. When election day came in 2020, I placed my vote for Donald Trump and was proven right to be fearful of <a href="https://x.com/JudiciaryGOP/status/1828201780544504064">censorship from the Federal Government</a> from a Biden-Harris Administration.</p><div><hr></div><p>Today I look at the current political climate domestically and the state of affairs across the world and I see chaos, major escalations of war, and shifts towards authoritarianism. The war in Ukraine has been going on for two and a half years with no clear path to victory. The war in Gaza has turned into a genocide and the Biden Administration will not end the killing. Inflation has come down to earth, but prices are up over 20% since 2020, and wages have not kept pace. We have an open southern border for which economic migrants, refugees, and foreign state actors enter our nation freely. The Biden-Harris administration has lost 320,000 children who came across the border without parents for which many have likely ended up being trafficked. President Ronald Reagan famously said, "A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation." <strong>America needs a major change in leadership.</strong></p><p>Most Americans have grown poorer these last few year, yet instead of spending money on our people and infrastructure we send money to Ukraine, a conflict caused by NATO aggression, while also backing Israel as it commits a genocide with our tax dollars and weapons of war.</p><p>These poor economic conditions and unending conflicts aren&#8217;t the only problem we&#8217;re facing. There seems to be a rise of anti-democratic ideas starting to take hold in the West. Censoring opinions on the proper treatment methods for Covid and the Hunter Biden laptop story were the first string of attacks against our most sacred First Amendment. </p><div class="pullquote"><p>Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.</p></div><p>We have a presidential candidate in Kamala Harris <a href="https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/1829651058269806658">who said this</a> about Donald Trump, &#8220;He has lost his privileges&#8221; in 2019. A clear attack on the First Amendment. Our freedom of speech is not a &#8220;privilege&#8221;, it&#8217;s a right endowed upon us by our Creator. Robert Reich, the Labor Secretary during the Clinton Administration, recently said we must &#8220;reign in&#8221; Musk through advertiser boycotts and the use of the Federal Government to stop his &#8220;lies&#8221;, a clear attack on free speech. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LH6kq3HhjgQ">Barrack Obama</a> gave a speech at Stanford University in 2022 appearing to want a singular governing body to combat &#8220;disinformation&#8221; across social media. The enemies of free speech are the establishment and the DNC, not Donald Trump.</p><p>Not only has the establishment and its puppets attacked free speech, but it has attacked the electoral process itself. Colorado and other states attempted to keep Trump off the ballot by accusing Trump of insurrection under section III of the 14th Amendment, yet he has never been charged for insurection because there was no revolt or attempt to take over the Federal Government. January 6 was a riot aided and abetted by the DoD not providing the National Guardsman Trump requested days before the event. His speech on January 6 called for peaceful protest as shown in the quote below. </p><div class="pullquote"><p>I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.</p></div><p>He has been charged and found guilty of falsifying business records, a charge that&#8217;s typically a misdemeanor, however, they converted the charges to felonies by claiming he attempted to defraud the process of democracy itself in 2016. The kicker being he was never charged with election interference in the 2016 election. The 34 felony counts he was found guilty for were brought in April of 2023, six months after he announced he was running for president. To me this looks like political prosecution. The DOJ Chief of Public Affairs in NY even <a href="https://x.com/scrowder/status/1831696327782052110">said it was election interference privately</a></p><p>All the non-DNC candidates have had ballot access issues requiring them to fight tooth and nail against DNC lawyers to get on ballots. The <strong>Democrats are obviously not the party of democracy</strong>, the hypocrisy they exude every time they attack Donald Trump as being <strong>THE THREAT</strong> to democracy infuriates me. It&#8217;s clearly a projection of their shadow onto their opponent. The DNC has become a villain to the democratic principles we hold so dear.</p><p>They made sure that no challenger could defeat Joe Biden in their show primary. RFK Jr wasn&#8217;t allowed to debate Joe Biden in an attempt to conceal his mental decline ensuring he would be one step away from four more years as president. After the debacle that was the first Presidential debate the establishment threw him to the wolves for a slightly more lucid candidate without a single vote being cast.</p><p>Bobby, in hopes of running a successful campaign switched to run as an independent after he realized the Democratic nomination was undemocratically destined for Biden. As an independent, DNC lawyers continued to fight him on ballot access in many states. Even after he decided to withdraw himself from the race and support Trump the DNC lawyers fought to keep Bobby on the ballot in an attempt to take votes away from Trump. <strong>Neocons, DNC, and Kamala Harris as a far larger threat to the democratic process than Trump.</strong></p><p>Though this issue is rarely covered in the legacy media or in the presidential debate, the government is $35 trillion in debt. We&#8217;ll pay over $1 trillion in interest this year, that&#8217;s more than we spend on our foolish defense policies. Almost half of all income taxes collected this year only cover the interest on our debt. Every dollar congress votes on is borrowed. Social security will run out in 10 to 12 years. This credit crisis requires broad changes to the tax code, sustained economic growth, and a major reduction in government spending.</p><p>Donald Trump intends to create a Department of Government Efficiency with Elon Musk at the helm to reduce the size of government and help the economy grow by removing regulations that constrict our economy. Kamala Harris seeks to give larger handouts to first time homebuyers and increase small business tax deductions by 10x while also adding in a substantial child tax credit while the government is going broke. She will increase government spending and constrict the economy through new taxes even though we desperately need an environment suitable for strong and sustained economic growth while also implementing major cuts to spending to avoid a debt crisis.</p><p>The foreign policy since the end of the Cold War driven by the neocon vision of the world has been a complete disaster. The War on Terror alone had direct costs were <strong>$8 trillion dollars </strong>with indirect costs for things like future veteran care and interest payments on our debt also in the trillions. The neocon view of total strategic dominance across the world has added trillions to our debt, has made us less safe as our warmongering has created new enemies and muddied our moral standing in the world. Donald Trump is the political enemy of the neocons and their disastrous policies of the last 35 years. Dick Cheney the architect of the Iraq War's endorsement of Kamala Harris is evidence enough not to vote for her. I&#8217;m tired of funding a war machine that only enriches those within the beltway while thousands of Americans die and millions have been displaced.</p><p>Donald Trump was the only president since Jimmy Carter to start no new wars. JFK famously thought the primary job of the President was to keep the peace. The neocons attack Trump for talking to dictators and using diplomacy first, yet after the Cuban Missile Crisis JFK installed a direct line to the Kremlin to ensure that an accident didn&#8217;t lead to a nuclear war. The famous saying &#8220;Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." is a far better policy than the foolishness of the Biden administrations unwillingness to talk to Putin while we fight a war that could lead to nuclear armageddon. The doomsday clock is nearly at midnight and our current President likely can&#8217;t operate the nuclear football. I cannot support an establishment that has put us in this position.</p><p>The role of the executive requires keeping the peace while also leveraging the bully pulpit to enact change in America and fostering strong relationships with foreign leaders. Donald Trump has proven he not only can win over adversaries as seen with Kim Jong Un, but has conducted many off the cuff long form interviews proving his ability to communicate to the American people.  When he met with Kim Jong Un he showed his courage and a strong understanding of human psychology with his willingness to walk across the 38th parallel. If you watch the video you see Kim Jong Un beaming with joy as he finally felt seen as a leader. This was unplanned and the opposite of what establishment foreign policy dogma would recommend, but Donald Trump showed he understood how to reach him on a human level.</p><p>Meanwhile, Kamala Harris barely talks to the press and when she does it&#8217;s always with her close friends. She has done two long form interviews in the last two months with the first interview&#8217;s footage cut in half at the campaigns request. Her inability to communicate effectively and the appearance of a lack of understanding of basic human nature discredits her for the job alone. A public company would never hire a CEO without this skill so why would the American people hire an executive without it.</p><p>We have countless issues facing us both home and abroad. We need a strong leader who is willing to take a different approach and move past the 30+ years of establishment failures. We need to replace the current foreign policy dogma and their forever wars that left us in debt.. We must stop paying for a war in Ukraine that they cannot win without broader and escalatory NATO involvement. We stand by as Israel escalates its war in the Middle East even though we could end it by stopping the flow of weapons today. We need a negotiator in the White House that knows when to be hard-nosed with world leaders and when to sue for peace. After seeing overt and easily provable lies and omissions from our Federal Government spread by the legacy media I decided to leave my career in corporate America behind and instead work for the American people as a citizen journalist and activist for freedom.</p><p>For my first full-length article I wanted to reimagine the Declaration of Independence as if it were written to the current US Federal Government. This thought piece is meant to protest how far astray our government has gotten from &#8220;government of the people, by the people, for the people.&#8221; </p><div of America and five US Territories,</strong> When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.</p><p>We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all <s>men</s> people are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.</p><p>That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among <s>Men</s> People, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government.</p><p>Laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.</p><p>But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. Such has been the patient sufferance of these <s>colonies </s>States and Territories; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government.</p><p>The history of the present <s>King of Great Britain</s> US Federal Government is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States and Territories. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.</p><div><hr></div><p>The US Federal Government has abused its power of document classification and leveraged back channel communication to avoid FOIA requests to keep secrets from the American people. The documents pertaining to investigations of September 11 and JFK&#8217;s assassination clearly aren&#8217;t classified to protect the means and methods used in the investigations. What are they hiding from the American people? <strong>Secrecy is the first rung on the ladder towards authoritarianism.</strong></p><p>The US Federal Government has used American tragedies like September 11 to grow their surveillance powers and consolidate control under the executive branch through misnamed laws like the PATRIOT Act. The PATRIOT Act ushered in a secret court known as the FISA court, which largely just rubber stamps broad surveillance warrants against not only foreign actors but American citizens. Unlike previous laws like the 1968 Wiretap Act, the FISA court has no requirement that a crime is likely to be committed by those surveilled to surveil them.</p><p>Edward Snowden&#8217;s leaks prove the National Security Agency (NSA), or what I like to call the &#8220;National Surveillance Administration,&#8221; was gathering call records of millions of Americans under Section 215 of the PATRIOT Act. It also revealed the PRISM program, which was basically a backdoor to the servers of major internet companies like Google, Apple, and Microsoft, allowing digital mass surveillance on Americans. <strong>Surveillance is the second rung on the ladder towards authoritarianism.</strong></p><p>The Bush Administration, CIA, and the Department of Defense lied to the American people, telling us there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Colin Powell then went to the United Nations Security Council and told the world that there were WMDs in Iraq. The Iraq War and the lie it was based on led to 4,487 Americans dead because of direct conflict and thousands of others due to suicide once they returned home. We sent our boys to fight a meaningless war, and those who fought in Iraq are still dealing with the consequences.</p><p>The Federal Government and the mainstream media have continually lied to us about the cause of the war in Ukraine. There are two major reasons Russia invaded Ukraine, and they&#8217;re both from US aggression. First, we have continually expanded NATO eastward since 1994 even though we promised NATO would not move &#8220;one inch eastward&#8221;. In 2008, intelligence officials, including William J. Burns, the current director of the CIA, wrote that NATO expansion into Ukraine was a redline for all Russian elites that might force them to intervene militarily.</p><p>The Federal Government also supported public protests with billions of dollars of funneled through NGOs that led to an armed coup against the democratically elected President Viktor Yanukovych, who was against NATO expansion and closer to Russia than the US liked. A leaked call proved that Queen of the Neocons, Victoria Nuland, handpicked the unelected pro-Western leader that replaced him.</p><p>The Federal Government, specifically the Biden administration, has continually placed blame on Hamas as the roadblock to a ceasefire deal. However, after new reporting from DropSite news and Breaking Points, we now know that it actually has been Bibi Netanyahu who has been holding up a ceasefire deal. This conflict has cost at least 40,000+ lives, yet our Government won&#8217;t stop the flow of weapons to force a ceasefire deal.</p><p>COVID-19 and the government's response was full of lies and arbitrary recommendations about masks, social distancing, and failed to acknowledge effective early treatment practices developed by licensed physicians. The Mainstream Media, whose biggest advertiser is Big Pharma, called Ivermectin a horse dewormer. The FDA, largely funded by Big Pharma, then pushed this false narrative further. Ivermectin was used for river blindness and strongyloidiasis in humans before it was used on animals to treat heartworm. The discovery of Ivermectin won its discoverers the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Ivermectin was demonized so the Covid &#8220;Vaccines&#8221; could get emergency use authorization. <strong>Propaganda is the third rung on the ladder of authoritarianism.</strong></p><p>The Federal Government and specifically the FBI primed social media platforms in the summer of 2020 by telling them that any stories coming out about corruption tied to the Biden family and Burisma were likely Russian disinformation campaigns.</p><p>This led to the Hunter Biden laptop story getting demoted three weeks before the 2020 presidential election. Then 51 'former' intelligence officials, though famously no one ever leaves intelligence, said in a letter that the laptop had &#8220;all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.&#8221; Joe Biden then went out on the campaign trail and referenced this letter as proof the story wasn&#8217;t true.</p><p>The FBI would neither confirm nor deny if the laptop was Hunter Biden&#8217;s to ensure that the social media platforms wouldn&#8217;t end the demotion of the story leaving the American people unsure what to believe.</p><p>The Federal Government and the Biden Administration worked with social media companies using the threat of repealing Section 230 to censor the speech of leading virologists and doctors who spoke out against Anthony Fauci.
